Alexandra Raisman

Aly Raisman has been a gymnast in the U.S. for more than ten seasons. She was part, and captain, of both the US Olympic women's gymnastics team Fierce Five (2012) as well as the Final Five (2016). At the 2012 Olympics she won gold both on the team floor as well as the individual events. Bronze was taken by the balance bar. It made her an the only American gymnast at the Olympics to win the most medals. She and the teammate Gabby Doug were the very first Americans to take home back-to-back golds in team competitions. Additionally, she won silver medals in the individual all-around event as well as for floor exercise. After the 2002 Olympics, she was off for three years from gymnastics. Additionally, she was part of gold-winning American squads at two World Championships. Aly began gymnastics lessons at age 2 and loves floor exercise. Aly is a part of the Uniting Against Lung Cancer Organization in honor and memory of her grandmother. Aly plans on pursuing the field of fashion, and is looking to increase her line of signature leotards and socks later on. Fierce is a book that is due out later in the year.
